Artist Biography {A little more info...}

I am combining clay sculpture, hot glass, mosaic tile and bright paint to create unique sculptural pieces. My sculptures are a celebration of the beautiful wildlife in Colorado. Using color, design, and reflective glass, I work to capture the healing essence hidden in the spirit of animals.

The work I am doing now has evolved from of a long creative process. I have loved and have been doing art since I was a child. As an adult artist, I have worked for years in stained, etched and hot glass. In time, the glasswork evolved into mosaic work and over the years the mosaic evolved into clay sculpture. Now I am able to combine them all! My art pieces have been installed in galleries, businesses and private homes.

Not only do I love creating art, I also enjoy teaching it. I have taught classes in Fort Collins at the Museum of Contemporary Art, at a private High School, and at our local Community Learning Center. Also, I am the featured artist on an HGTV segment of “That’s Clever” Episode #HCLVR-462 which will be aired in 2008.

My love for nature constantly draws me outdoors. I am an avid hiker and mountain/road biker. My husband Perry and I have a small ranch in Bellvue, Colorado where we raised our three children.
